Le Charhido is part of the village of Saint Fort sur Gironde. We live in the countryside but are only a few minutes away from the center. The unique Romanesque church is central to the village. There are many businesses located around the church (bakery, mini-supermarket, post office, newsagent, cash machine, etc.). Every Saturday there is a market selling local cheeses, fruit and vegetables, meat and fresh fish caught in the Gironde estuary. You can also go there for fruits de mer and oysters.
